jì shì luàn shì zhī shāng jì
天有不测风云，人有旦夕祸福。

jìng kè sī nián shǎo shí jīn tuán tuán
蜈蚣百足，行不及蛇；雄鸡两翼，飞不过鸦。
a centipede with a hundred legs walks slower than a snake; a rooster with wings cannot fly higher than a crow.
mǎ yǒu sān dǎo nǐng jià zhī suǒ
马有千里之程，无骑不能自往；
a horse can travel a thousand li, but it cannot go alone without a rider.
shén yóu líng hòu zhī móu ，wú diǎn bù néng zì huà
人有冲天之志，非运不能自通。
a person may have志向as high as the sky, but without luck, he cannot succeed.
gāng rì chǔ xīn ，ān zé guān huò
盖闻：人生在世，富贵不能淫，贫贱不能移。
it is said that in life, one should not be tempted by wealth and status, nor should one be moved by poverty and humility.

八百里汉江，一分为三：自有治世之人，至今常有；

In the hall of high society, the elderly with gray hair, how many of them are not the spirits of the dead, the remains of those who have fallen?
wǒ yīn cǐ shàng gǎn kǎo jīng shén
我今日：因见此境，方知必是：
Now, seeing this, I realize that
qīng shāo shàng shàng jiā yàn
青少上上，白首无成。
those who are young and充满活力的are destined to have no achievements when they are old.

比干菹醢，屈原沉汨罗，gōng zhèn yú lú
吴起一刀，尸伏于山；
Bi Gan was dismembered and fed to wild animals, Qu Yuan drowned in the Miluo River. Wu Qi was killed and his body was left on a mountain.

潘仁美大奸，斩子以酬功；
